History of the Company...
Les Bennett & his wife Fern, started what has become Bennett Plumbing and Drainage in 1980 as a sole trader.
In 1982 the couple moved to their Bucklands Beach address and ran the business with a fully computerised office. The company took on their first apprentice in 1983. By 1985 the firm was employing several tradespersons and had 4 vehicles on the road.
In 1989 with a staff of seven and a family all at the domestic address, the owners made the decision to relocate the company to 14 Cortina Place, Pakuranga. The business expanded further during the following years to include a drainage division.
The business continued at Cortina Place until 1997, then relocated to 56a Ben Lomond Crescent, Pakuranga, a more central location for dispatch purposes to the local areas where the business is well established.
In mid-September 2008, Bennett Plumbing relocated to 24H Rylock Place, Pakuranga, only a minutes drive from the Ben Lomond address where they they have resided for the last decade.
Investment in computerised leak detection units, earthmoving equipment and machinery has enabled the company to branch out into other areas of service for which a need was identified.
Today the business offers drainlaying, gasfitting, leak detection and general plumbing services.
